Iowa Giving Crew is once again stepping it up to help people in our community. They just teamed up with Tanager Place to help and support people experiencing mental health issues due to the recent derecho.
Iowa Giving crew will provide funding to Tanager Place. This will allow Tanager Place to provide teams of therapists at multiple locations in Cedar Rapids. The therapists can give children and adults guidance, referrals, crisis situation help, along with other services.
Nick Dusil of Iowa Giving Crew said, “As everyone cleans up debris and works on rebuilding their property, what is often lost in the rebuilding and recovery process is the trauma children and families can face after an event like derecho.”
