BACON EGG

Friday, Apr, 18 2014

A British father of two decided to start doing something a little different for Easter and came up with the a tasty treat that has nothing to do with bunnies and everything to do with pigs – the bacon Easter egg. He created the bacon egg by weaving 24 pieces of bacon together into an egg shape and dressing it up with a bow. The 47-year-old got the idea when he heard his buddies talking about giving up chocolate for Lent and began considering alternatives. Since his bacon creation was hollow, he figured out a way to fill it up…..he filled it up with sausages.

New Air Jordan XX9's

Friday, Apr, 18 2014

Nike unveiled the new Air Jordan XX9 which will be basketball’s first high-definition sneaker.
The sneaker is made with a weaving machine normally used for high-quality labels or silk neckties. And the woven technology stays in place unlike leather which most sneakers are made out of.

Features 25 million pixels woven into the shoe which will help it not lose its shape over time. More than 9,700 lines of yarn span from side to side on the XX9.

It will be out in September and will cost $225.

This weekend in the NBA playoffs, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook will wear the sneaker.

Cow Fartpacks

Friday, Apr, 18 2014

Cows are responsible for 25% of the methane produced on planet Earth. That’s so much greenhouse gas that even the United States has called for a reduction in cow emissions by 2020. Argentina’s National Institute for Agricultural Technology may have the answer: cow “fartpacks,” large plastic bags attached to the back of a cow like a backpack. They’re connected to a tube that you ram up the cow’s butt into its digestive tract. The fartpack can extract 300 liters of methane a day from a typical cow and then they plan to use that gas by turning it into energy.
