ROCK REPORT - January 8, 2014

Wednesday, Jan, 8 2014

Fans counting the days before they board the 2014 edition of the ShipRocked cruise can now count on seeing Tremonti and Black Stone Cherry at sea, in addition to the previously announced stellar lineup booked to rock the boat January 26-30. The acts already on the bill include Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Sevendust and In This Moment, among others including comedian Jim Breuer.

This will be the fifth voyage of the hard-rockin’ cruise and it sets sail January 26-30 from Miami, FL, and travels to a private island in the Bahamas.

Besides featuring dozens of amazing concerts there are also meet and greets, Q&A sessions, contests, games, insane parties, and theme nights.  On board the Norwegian Pearl cruise liner you’ll find 13 bars, a 4-lane bowling alley, a rock climbing wall, casino, spa, pools, fitness center and more!

The price? Over $1000 for a double-room.

ROCK REPORT - Monday, January 6, 2014

Fans of Slipknot were shocked last month by the news that drummer Joey Jordison was no longer in the band, and they were left to speculate the reason for his departure. In a statement posted to his Facebook page on New Year’s Day, Jordison doesn’t say why he left, but he does say without hesitation that it was not his decision to make. He wrote: “I would like to start the New Year by addressing the recent rumors and speculation regarding my departure from Slipknot. I want to make it very clear that I DID NOT QUIT SLIPKNOT. This band has been my life for the last 18 years, and I would never abandon it, or my fans. This news has shocked and blindsided me as much as it has all of you. While there is much I would like to say, I must remain silent to further details at this time.”

Metallica is selling a digital copy of the group's 10 song performance in Antarctica. The "Freem 'Em All" concert was filmed and performed on a scientific research base. Metallica was the first band to play on all seven continents in one year. You can purchase the performance at metallica.com
