ROCK REPORT THURSDAY!

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the Gameboy in North America and to commemorate this great day in video game history, a group known as the Filthy Frackers, have taken some of the best grunge era songs and re-created them in a medley called ’8-Bit Grunge.’

The creators have done a damn good job of pulling imagery from each group’s music videos and offering them in 8-bit video game graphics.

The Filthy Frackers have also thrown in a little ’8-bit’ video game history into the music video as well, like Soundgarden being held captive in Donkey Kong’s cell in the song “Rusty Cage.”
