The biggest rock festival in the world sadly fell victim to the COVID-19 crisis.
But, Download festival is not letting that stop them entirely! While they do understand they cannot hold their massive festival during this time, they can however try to simulate the experience in a digital way with a ‘Virtual Festival!’ In an interview and press release to BBC, the organizers will now stream music, interviews, and unseen performances on June 12-14 instead.
This year, bands like Iron Maiden, KISS, Korn, System of a Down were all set to to play…so this a MAJOR BUMMER, but a understandable bummer. But hoping we can get back to rock festivals….’sigh’….next year.
