Well, Kevin Costner didn’t really build the field, but a movie about a man who started to hear voices in a corn field was filmed in Dyersville, IA named ‘Field of Dreams,’ and if you are any kind of Iowan, you know about this movie.
Did you also know that it was released this day 31 years ago? YEA…THIRTY ONE!
I don’t specifically remember when I saw the movie, but it was well before I became and Iowan. The cool thing about Field of Dreams is that it’s a very heartwarming story about a man and his father, and I think that’s what is so good about it. It’s a movie that us Iowans can be proud of. All the big cities have 700 movies they can be happy for, but Iowa? We have Field of Dreams which I still think is a fantastic movie, and something us Iowans can cherish.
