The cultural phenomenon known as Beavis & Butt-head are BACK…and seemingly in a whole new way. The iconic duo of idiots will be ‘re-imagined’ for Comedy Central and written, produced, and voiced by creator Mike Judge himself (Thank the lord….).
This is some of the best TV news I have heard in awhile! While I know people LOVE shows like South Park, Family Guy, Bob’s Burger’s, etc….Beavis & Butt-head is one that ages like fine wine (King of the Hill the same way). It seemingly keeps getting better the older it gets, and STILL cracks me up. Even the return season they had on MTV in the early 2010’s, was amazing. I’ve even considered getting them tattoo’d somewhere on me, that’s how much I love these characters, I reference them constantly. However, I stay cautious…
What does ‘re-imagined’ mean? Are they gonna be adding new tech and stuff to the two? I mean I kinda get that….it’s a new show for a new generation, but I hope this newer generation…let’s just say….get’s it. Today’s society is offended by nearly everything. Somethings of course, be offended by it, take a stand!….but we live in a very ‘triggered’ society where one wrong move? And it’s over…aka ‘The Cancel Culture.’
Will an insane show like Beavis & Butt-head be able to survive? I hope so, but I hope it doesn’t get castrated by trying to satisfy everyone.
