I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a college student right now.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, returning to the classroom has sure been something of a challenge, and it looks like because of the ongoing pandemic, normal schedules are getting shifted.

University of Northern Iowa (UNI) announced today that they have modifications to its Spring 2021 calendar to allow in-person classes to continue to hopefully minimize the spread. That does mean however that Spring classes will start later than normal, meaning the Spring Break will not occur.

Sorry UNI students, there won't be a spring break for during the spring 2021 semester. The university made several modifications to its spring calendar due to COVID-19 concerns.

You might think at first…”WHHHHY???” Well, because those classes will actually start later than usual on January 25th…so you still get that week, just earlier.

It’s a bummer for college students since that was a nice little break in between studies and exams, but I guess this is what we’re stuck with until things can get back to semi-normal. I never went anywhere for Spring Break during college, just went back home…I was a broke college student, I sure as hell couldn’t afford some crazy ass trip to Florida or whatever.
