Here’s a feel good story for 2020.

The Great Derecho of 2020 devastated the Corridor, and we are still feeling the effects of it. Trees are down and still being hauled, roofs being fixed, and it was determined that this is the most costly storm in US History!

But through all the bad, there is some light as a kid named Tommy Rhomberg who lives in Mt. Vernon is taking the time out of his busy schedule to take wood from fallen trees from Derecho, and making them into baseball bats!

Thanks, Gillian Brooks, for continuing to share Tommy’s story! 💕

It’s a family effort with Mom and Dad helping with some of the more advanced stuff, but Tommy is putting in the work to help with relief funds for Cedar Rapids recovery, at 12 YEARS OLD!

How awesome, way to go Tommy!

If you want to order your bat, you better get in quick cause it’s not 100% of how long this effort will go! CLICK HERE to find out!
