With the pandemic still in full stride and still needing to you know…eat…we do have to visit our local grocery store and pickup the things we need! Using the curbside is great, but sometimes, you just have to go in and grab a cart. While they do supply cart wipes to sanitize your cart, it’s easy to forget to do so. Hy-Vee is installing an ‘Automated Cart Cleaning System,’ that fully cleans and sanitizes a shopping cart after every use! Think of it like a shopping cart washing machine! It not only cleans and sanitizes the handles, but the ENTIRE cart!

Not every Hy-Vee is getting this right away, currently 200 stores will have these implemented which likely they are working towards more stores in the future.
I am curious though, once this pandemic is done…is this gonna continue? Guess we’ll wait and see…regardless, kinda cool though.
