I remember the day I went and bought this album!
19 years ago today, Rob Zombie released his 2nd solo career album named ‘The Sinister Urge,’ and damn it still kicks ass to this day! Many people know Zombie for his debut album ‘Hellbilly Deluxe,’ but something about that 2nd album really caught me.
Is that it was mine.
My brother is the one who had the first one, but the 2nd album is the one I stumbled into Media Play with and bought…with my own money, my own interest, and my Dad driving me to the store!
Songs like Feel So Numb, Iron Head, Dead Girl Superstar, House of 1000 Corpses….it’s just an awesome album, and personally I think it was the sound before he went…well, FULL Rob Zombie. It was the last album of that lineup of John Tempesta, Mike Riggs, and Blasko…which I think defined Zombie for that generation.
