If you’ve been trying and trying to find somewhere that has the PlayStation 5 in stock, be careful! The tough-to-find game is allowing scammers to take advantage of people trying to get a hold of a PS5.
I know when I can’t find something, I hit up eBay. BUT, eBay is getting hit with fake postings where ripoff artists will sell you a photo of the PS5, not the actual game console itself!
A police department in Michigan issued a “scam alert” this week calling the out-of-stock gaming console a “scammer’s dream.”
ALSO, watch out if you’re SELLING a PS5. Cops say a dude tried selling a PlayStation 5 through Facebook Marketplace for $1,200. When the buyer showed up with another dude and asked to inspect the console, they took it and drove off without paying!
Just be extra cautious if you’re looking to buy or sell a PS5!
