5 years ago today, we lost the legendary singer Scott Weiland.
I remember where I was that day. I had basically JUST started working at Rock 108, and JP came in and told me that Scott Weiland had died…it was a shock to the rock world that’s for sure. I also remember the boss’ getting pretty mad at me cause I had to leave early from my air shift cause I was still moving stuff from Michigan!
What’s even more interesting is that Scott was supposed to perform at Spicoli’s in Waterloo the following night after his show in Minnesota, but was found dead on his tour bus basically on the way to Iowa.
Crazy to think it’s been that long.
I was fortunate enough to be able to see Scott in STP and his solo group of The Wildabouts.
