My blu-ray copy of “The Shining” came in the mail the other day. It’s my all-time favorite movie that I’ve seen over 100 times. This movie literally saved my life during my dark days. Anytime I felt like doing something stupid, I’d play this. As soon as the opening song/credits rolled & the car drove up the mountain, all my troubles would vanish. Complete escapism. It still does the trick today!

I know that for a lot of people, this movie wouldn’t bring them comfort, but it does for me. I instantly forget anything that’s troubling me in life when I watch this. Like I said… complete escapism. Is there a movie that provides complete escapism for YOU?
