Re he he he he he….eally?
Growing up in the 90’s, Jim Carrey was everywhere….and one of his best leading roles was in the Ace Ventura movies, both ‘Pet Detective’ and ‘When Nature Calls.’ Both of them are classic films (I kinda like the second one better though…), but there was never a third!
Until now….as Ace Ventura 3 is reportadly in development with Amazon Studios, with Jim Carrey reprising his old role. Interestingly enough, the writers of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ (Carrey’s latest starring role) will be helming the story of Ace 3. Developers Morgan Creek stated that it will not be a remake, but a new movie in ‘the spirit of the original.’
I’m wary of a NEW Ace Ventura movie though….comedy sequels to 20+ year old movies are usually NEVER good…just take a look at Dumb and Dumber To, SHINING example there. (That movie was terrible) Calling Anchorman 2? Does anyone actually really like Anchorman 2 (OK FINE, it had a couple moments.) However, seeing Jim in his recent role of Dr. Robotnik? I have a tad bit of hope.
