There’s a 54-year-old dude in Waterloo named James Harrington. And he went on a burglary spree a few weeks ago . . . where he used a John Deere riding lawnmower as his getaway car. Those things top out a like 7-10 MPH.
First, James rode his mower to a garage and stole a bunch of stuff inside. Then he headed to the YesWay convenience store and stole a bottle of Absolut vodka.
He even managed to get home on the mower without getting caught . . . but the cops identified him from surveillance footage and arrested him.
He’s been charged with burglary, theft, and driving with a suspended license.
