This is a trip man.
Millions of people do livestreaming today, whether it be on Facebook, Instagram, or whatever. But a massive chunk of them play video games on Twitch, to the point people have made careers out of it.
But, where did it all start? What was the FIRST video game livestreaming show? Hell, you can’t even really call it livestreaming can you? I think the internet found it.
A kid that went by the name ‘ZOT the Avenger’ hosted a video game show on his hometowns public access television station named ‘Video Games and More.’ The young ZOT would play games like Mortal Kombat, Earthworm Jim 2, Star Fox ON SCREEN, comment over them, take phone call and interact with viewers….even ask for donations!
This my friends, is likely the first ever video game ‘streaming’ show ever done. Little did ZOT know at the time, but he was pioneering a whole new level of entertainment, all the way back in 1993.
