On Friday morning, the cops in Ashland, Ohio were at a high school running a drunk driving education event.
They set up a “mock crash” scene in the school’s parking lot where they were warning the students about all the dangers of driving drunk in preparation for their prom coming up.
And as they were doing the presentation . . . an actual drunk driver randomly sped through the school’s parking lot, coming within inches of hitting students! They went up to the drunk dude’s window and he started yelling at them, then took off.
The cops paused the presentation to stop the guy. And he failed sobriety tests, so he was arrested for drunk driving.
I’d say this was a much better learning lesson than the mock DUI crash! The students got to see the dude taken away in cuffs.
