It’s things like this that give gaming a bad name.
Target stores have announced they they’ll be halting the sales of Pokemon, NFL, NBA, and MLB cards due to recent outbreaks of violence at stores over people buying them. This really came to fruition when someone drew a gun and viciously beat another man over these cards.
Like….really?
It’s F*&&^* CARDBOARD WITH COLORFUL PICTURES ON THEM!
The ‘collectible card market’ has really gained traction because cards in these packs have suddenly become insanely collectible…which you know what that means?
Money.
No one really WANTS the cards…they want to sell them and make a quick buck, and I know from first hand experience! I used to sell Magic The Gathering and Pokemon…I’ve seen it first hand.
