I would easily put this is as one of my Top 10 games of all time.
What other games are on my Top 10? Resident Evil 2, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mega Man X, Super Mario World…we’ll save this list for another time, but also on that list? Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for Super Nintendo, and I can’t believe that it is 25 years old.
If you are a co-worker of mine, I always put a longplay of this game as a type of ‘screen saver’ at my desk.
One of my favorite video game memories is when my brother and I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning playing this game at my father’s apartment in Grand Rapids. We got to the boss Belome in the Kero Kero Sewers when my dad woke up and realized we were still up to which he told us to go to bed…that may have been my first video gaming all nighter.
The amount of charm is this game is top notch…it’s not a difficult game by any means, and it’s not meant to be. But if you love RPG games with a lot of character that realizes exactly what it is? Then this game is for you.
Just a damn good time, and I will gladly run through this game anytime…it was also my truly FIRST RPG game I ever played.
