Remember when my daughter was born?
December 28th of last year! It was pretty known across the airwaves, and now that little girl has made it 5 months and man…a lot sure has changed in that 5 months.
Here is the interesting thing though, when Lily was first born…I had to learn so much, and it eventually got to the point where I was so stressed out, figuring it all out, questioning my decisions, coming to terms with it all…I was a wreck, which I think a lot of new Dad’s go through. 5 months in though? I feel like I have gotten ahold of the whole ‘baby thing.’
Diapers are easier, she smiles at nearly everything I do, she responds to me, she can roll over, nearly sit up, and sleeps through ‘most of the night.’ It ain’t perfect, but something sure happened where my attitude towards my daughter just changed.
I can’t get enough of her. She’s just a cute little girl that smiles, poops, and loves her little stuffed bunny.
I know quite a few people who are about to be new dads, so maybe this will help you a little bit….at the start? It ain’t easy, but give it time, patience….A LOT of patience, and you just kinda figure it out along the way, and I can’t really explain it any other way.
How long will this last? I don’t know…eventually she’s gonna be a toddler who gets into everything, cries about everything, and will have a insane fit in the middle of a Hy-Vee…but right now?
She’s daddy’s perfect little girl.
