The album that redefined Metallica for everybody.
Before the Black Album, Metallica was your typical thrash band…Kill Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets….it wasn’t until the Black Album that in many cases people called, ‘The Grown Up’ Metallica.
It has become one of, if not the best selling metal album of all time….so I think it did pretty well for them. At the time though, die hard fans HATED it…especially ‘Nothing Else Matters.’
If you ask anyone what legendary metal albums are out there, it’s quite likely the Black Album will be on that list.
