McDonald’s has always had their mascot characters…of course the happy clown that is Ronald McDonald, but during the 60’s and 70’s…more characters started to show up like the Hamburgerler, Birdie, and of course that purple thing named Grimace.
But Birdie is clearly a bird, Hamburgler is just some dude, Ronald is a clown…so, what is Grimace? According to a McD’s manager, he has confirmed…
‘He is an enormous taste bud, but a taste bud nonetheless.’ He also added his purpose is to show that the food taste good.
So there you have it, Grimace is an oversize part of your salivated tongue walking around being weird.
