People love em, people hate em, but me? I love em.
System of a Down during their hey-day was a force that shouldn’t be reckoned with. With the vocal stylings of Serj and the punchy guitar riffs of Daron, System of a Down was a sound that was unlike any other at it’s time. To this day, fans are STILL waiting for a full new release from them, as they necessarily haven’t actually disbanded.
In 2001 though? The album ‘Toxicity’ hit the shelves and us teenages gobbled it all up.
Toxicity, Aerials, Chop Suey, Prison Song, etc….the album is loaded with hard driving metal riffs that you can bang your head. Historically, the song ‘Chop Suey’ was pulled from airwaves in 2001 why? Sept. 11th occurred just DAYS after the album released.
What a weird year that was…
