As a MASSIVE Resident Evil fan…
The games to me have always been a ton of fun. I love the storyline, even when it goes a little crazy. The first 3 games are nearly perfect, 4 revitalized it, 5 was a fun action game, and 6 was garbage. BUT THEN 7 and 8 came around and brought back the fun horror, even if it looks a little different…
But after a long history of RE movies from Paul W.S. Anderson and the anime ones…can an American live action reboot bring back RE to the big screen? Well they are gonna try with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, and it hits theaters on November 24th.
BUT….after seeing the trailer? I’m looking forward to it, but I don’t see it as a MIND BLOWING event…the CGI looks just awful, and if you know the games like I do? This trailer is FULL of throwbacks to the games, which is fine…but if I know movies? It’s bait…just like they did with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker…what I mean by this is…
“Hey you know this! AND THIS! AND THIS! AND THIS! REMEMBER THAT FROM THE GAME? Our story sucks and makes no sense, but hey…HERE IS SOME EYE CANDY!”
That frightens me, but we’ll see won’t we?
