A 31-year-old dude in Riverside, CA who called himself a “fortune teller” has been arrested for defrauding multiple people, including a ‘cursed’ woman who ended up paying him more than $50,000.
According to detectives, the fortune teller convinced another victim she had parasites in her body. She paid him several hundred dollars to clear them from her body.
They also learned that the fortune teller had a prior arrest and conviction in late 2019 in Chicago for a similar fraud in which he portrayed himself as a “faith healer” and stole money from victims.
After a search of his home, detectives found “a significant amount of cash, a voodoo doll, tarot cards, altars, religious and satanic type objects, and a small live snake that were used as part of the fraud.”
The dumbass was booked and released after posting $57,000 bail.
