Growing up, I missed the boat of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the show that launched Will Smith’s career into what it is today. However I always understood it was a light hearted fun, but hit on some hard emotional notes from time to time.
This reboot however, is going hard on the seriousness of it all…some humor of course, but more the troubles of a kid heading to a rich side of town trying to fit in but also keeping true to himself. It does look quite good, but from the trailer…don’t expect your typical 90’s humor.
