Quite possibly the most loved Zelda game was released this day 30 years ago!
I remember always staring at the back of my SNES box and seeing this picture of Zelda: A Link to the Past and thinking ‘That game looks fun!’ Funny to think that game is now 30 years old…
But as an avid Zelda fan? I still have trouble getting into that game….I know, blasphemy. I get crap about it all of the time…fellow fans telling me, ‘How could you not LOVE that game?!’ I just don’t…
I’ve said thousands of times that Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my absolute favorite game, which if you didn’t know is a 3D Zelda game, the first one I might add. While my first Zelda game was the original on NES, I didn’t hit my Zelda stride until 1998 when Ocarina released and didn’t play LTTP until MUCH later, sometime in the 2000’s.
It’s considered by many as the greatest Zelda game of all time, and sure…it’s pretty epic! But for me, it truly starts at Ocarina.
