Throwback Thursday’s Morning Show Wrap-Up

By Brian Marshall Aug 25, 2022 | 10:54 AM

Here’s what you may have missed on the ROCK 108 Morning Show:

IT’S NEWS TO ME –  A school board in Barry County, Missouri, approved a new corporal punishment policy (spanking.) The decision is scheduled for a vote this week.
Parents are being asked if they if they would like to opt their child in or out of the program.
The board has planned for the paddling to only be administered by the principal at the school, with a witness and never in front of children.

BRIAN’S BRAIN BUSTER –  Chances are you’ll do this hundreds of times this year, and the total bill will be less than a dollar. What?
P1 Nation Guesses:
Clayton in Waterloo – “Leave a light on in the house.”
Mike & Haley on Facebook – “Listening to the radio.”
Tony on Facebook – “Using a turn signal.”

ACTUAL ANSWER –  Charging your phone.

DAILY DUMBASS –  A Detroit man went to a gas station earlier this week and bought a pack of Swisher Sweets. After he lit up, he claimed the cigars “had cologne on it.”
The man went to the clerk to get his money back. The clerk refused and mentioned the guy was the one wearing cologne.
That is when the man went outside, filled a bucket with gas and then lit the place on fire!
The clerk was able to escape and call 911. No one was injured. Police have a suspect in custody.  MORE DETAILS

THROWBACK THURSDAY TRACK
Released in 2001, this was the title track from the band’s second album.
I wanted to feature this San Diego band before Russ went on vacation.
