Quite possibly one of the greatest games of all time right?
35 years ago, the original ‘Legend of Zelda’ hit the US on the Nintendo Entertainment System. I will point out that it was released in Japan first, so this i the first time as Americans that WE PLAYED IT!
The crisp gold cartridge still stands out in my collection like the gold it is. It also happens to be one of my first video games that I ever played too! Sitting as a kid in front of a maybe 14 inch screen, turn it to channel 3, and get engulfed in a world of Hyrule.
Now the first part of that was true, but as a kid? I had NO idea what I was doing….all I was, was a kid running around, stabbing things with my sword and I maybe complete the first labyrinth to get the Triforce piece…but, it left an imprint on me that continues to this day.
