IT’S NEWS TO ME – The Strong National Museum of Play announced this year’s finalists for the National Toy Hall of Fame. 3 of the 12 finalists will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on November 10.
The Finalists:
– Bingo, first appeared in the 1920s
– Settlers of Catan, it was published in Germany in 1995.
– Phase 10, a card game that first appeared in 1992.
– Rack-O, a pattern-building card game introduced in 1956.
– Breyer horses, Lite-Brite, Masters of the Universe, Nerf toys, Pound Puppies, Spirograph, spinning top and piñata are also on the list.
SPORTS – St. Louis Cardinals stalwarts Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina made history last night. The duo started their 325th game as a battery.
The two have been teammates since Wainwright was called up in 2005.
