DAILY DUMBASS – A man in Seattle claims that “Office Space” made him do it.
A software engineer is being charged with stealing around $300,00 from his employer, Zulily.com. The man manipulated the code so the shipping fees would end up in his personal account. He received more than $260,000 from the scheme and about $41,000 in merchandise.
When he was caught, he told detectives that the plan was inspired by the movie “Office Space.”
SPORTS – There was a scary moment in the Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after what seemed to be a routine play. The NFL has announced that Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest.
Emergency responders administered CPR on Hamlin and transported him to a local hospital.
As of last night, Hamlin’s agent released a statement:
“Update on Damar: His vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. They are currently running tests. We will provide updates as we have them.”
