Mel Brooks is quite possibly the greatest comedy writer and director of all time. Movies like Spaceballs, High Anxiety, The Producers are all classics that I will never tire of…History of the World Part 1 was the first Mel Brooks movie I had ever seen on a Comedy Central Mel Marathon and I was hooked since. At the end of the movie though, he make a funny joke of teasing a History of the World Part 2 with Hitler on Ice, A Viking Funeral, and Jews in Space….it was all in fun and never actually set to exist.
Until now, as Mel has announced the 4 part streaming event of History of the World Part 2 coming to Hulu on March 6th!
Of course skepticism is there…could it be funny? Well looking at this brand new trailer, it sure seems like Mel has not lost his touch.
