Today is that day.
If you’re old enough, you too well remember the events of the day Sept. 11, 2001….I know I sure did, I was a Freshman in High School, so I remember them quite vividly. I have always wanted to visit the ‘9/11’ Museum and Memorial in New York to not only pay respects but also bring in the vastness of that day. But I can’t just get up and drive to New York….
However here in Iowa? There are 2 memorials that were erected to pay respects to the victims of that day. One of them in Cedar Rapids and another in Knoxville! Both of them are living memorials
- One is the ‘Freedom Trees Veterans Memorial Stadium’ at 950 Rockford Rd SW in Cedar Rapids….which is where the Cedar Rapids Kernals play! CLICK HERE for info.
