Nintendo Switch 2 is coming, and it’s gonna cost you.
Earlier today, Nintendo showcased their latest Direct video which dished out all the deets on the upcoming new Nintendo Switch 2 game console. Chances are if you have kids, you MIGHT have a Switch….well….this is the long awaited next step.
-Switch 2 will arrive on store shelves if not bought out by scalpers on June 5th.
-You can pre-order currently EXCLUSIVELY from Nintendo’s web store only via a Lottery system.
-Cost will be $449 for a standard comsole or $499 for Mario Kart World bundle.
So there is the must know stuff right away! But what if you own a Switch already? Can you play you old games? Use old controllers? How good is it? Is it worth the money? Depends on your personal preference. So I’ll list out the specs for you!
-New docking station with internal cooling fan (not comptible with your old dock)
-Screen is 1080p LCD with 60FPS
-Controllers have mouse capability and connect to console via magnets (old joycons will not connect to new console)
-Connected to TV, it can display 1080p 120 FPS or 4k 60FPS
-Bigger screen but the same thickness as the previous Switch
But what about….THE GAMES! Games announced were:
-Mario Kart World (basically 9…)
-Cyberpunk 2077
-Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade
-Kirby’s Air Ride 2
-Metroid Prime 2
-Switch 2 Editions of Zelda games and more
But the big thing that’s on everyones mind? How much will the games cost? Right now, Mario Kart is listed at a WHOPPING $80!!!! This is new in the current video game world where some games are $70 but $80? Woof.
