A 29-year-old dumbass dude in Louisiana named Justin Pope was arrested Tuesday after he admitted to stealing a ring from his girlfriend, and pawning it for $4,500.
Then, he used the money to make a down payment on an engagement ring for . . . his girlfriend, THE SAME WOMAN he stole the other ring from.
This all went down in 2019, but he just now made the confession. Perhaps he got caught or he grew a conscience?
Whatever the case may be, he told cops that he went back to the pawn shop a month later . . . tried to get the ring back . . . but was told that it’d been “melted down for scrap.”
He’s facing a theft charge, but is free on bond. Oh, and Justin and the girlfriend are no longer together.
