Such a great console, and a perfect view into that generation.
When people ask me what my favorite video game console was, it’s hands down the Super Nintendo. But if I were to choose my top 5 game consoles of all time? Sega Genesis is easily up there….and it’s 32 years old!
Growing up in the 90’s with the neighborhood kids, my family had the Super Nintendo while my friend Jon (still a friend 25+ years later!) had the Sega Genesis. I mean, you were KING of the neighborhood if you had both….which…not to brag…I totally did after my brother and I begged my parents.
Games like Road Rash 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Jurassic Park…it was just a fun console! Nowadays you have Playstation VS Xbox….but back in the day? You were a Sega bad ass or a Nintendo family.
