If you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, you know that familiar song of ‘I want to be Toys R’ Us kid!’ Kids today will never know how awesome that place was….and how expensive it was. I LOVED going there as a kid, and oddly? I loved the smell of Toys R’ Us…it just had that new plastic smell to it. So…are they trying again? They sure are!
Toys R Us has partnered with Macy’s to sell their toys in all 400+ of their stores as well as online. Will it work though?
Good question…Toys R Us was great, but it’s biggest thing was the fact of how expensive their stuff was! Plus you could go to Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, and get the same stuff for likely cheaper. Will you head to Macy’s to buy toys?
As a parent, toys are important. I know…kids want screens…but there is something about toys that develop motor skills, they HOLD something, feel it, etc…toys and reading are important to a growing kid. At some point Lily will have a tablet cause that’s just how the world is today, but at 8 months? I would like to delay that as much as possible.
