This weekend, I am heading out on my first camping trip in a few years…
AND also my first camping trip as a Dad, and man…I haven’t even left for Ludington yet and my wife and I made the decision last night as we were packing our car.
We need a camper.
Now just us two? Not bad! We can fit whatever we need in a car for the two of pretty easily…but we forgot that well…Lily and all her stuff pretty much requires a separate vehicle for her to drive. Before we just needed a tent, clothing, air mattress and a cooler. NOW? All of that plus…
- Pack n’ Play
- Bathtub tote
- Diaper Bag
- Stroller
- Toys
- Baby clothes
- Bed sheets
- Food for Lily
- Feeding chair
- and the list….goes….on
We learned the hard way and yes, you CAN do this without necessarily needing a camper. But the extra space is needed and both of our vehicles (SUV’s) fit it so damn tight that it may even be considered a driving hazzard.
What kind of camper? Like a pop up…both of our vehicles don’t have massive towing ability, easy to store, etc. It just makes sense and I don’t have to pay for an RV (a house with wheels)
So lookout for my name writing you probably next year if you’re selling your pop up camper…it may be Ned buying it from you.
