Pretty soon, you’ll be able to keep your Iowa State Driver’s license or State ID on your iPhone or Apple Watch. The 7 other states doing this as well are: Arizona, Georgia, Connecticut, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Utah.
The Iowa DOT has not given a specific date when this will be put into effect yet.
Will you be doing this? I think I might do it purely for back up reasons. Can’t hurt to have my license on my phone and in my wallet.
