Every year I write about that day that is odd to say these days that not EVERYONE remembers.

Tomorrow will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Sept 11th, 2001 attacks on America. Per usual, I write where I was that day, but for the 20th anniversary? I think I’ll share what it is I do every Sept. 11th ever since that day.

Every year, I go to YouTube and watch footage from that day. I also lookup what the front page of my hometown newspaper was as well. Thanks to internet, I’m able to never forget, however even if I didn’t I still would as it’s pretty burned into my memory.

Anytime I watch the footage, it feels just as real as the day I watched it on the TV’s during my freshman year of high school. It’s an uncomfortable feeling that I put myself through every year at this time. But….what I look for? Is the stories….the stories of heroism, bravery, and loss.

Today the country is very divided, but during that time…we all became one…maybe that’s what I search for when remembering Sept. 11th, was the sense of togetherness we had after those events. Below is a video that to this day will ALWAYS bother me….

As we have been saying for 20 years…Never Forget.
