A dude in San Diego stole a tow truck and told cops a bomb would blow up if he stopped.
The chase happened on Monday night and dude never hit speeds over 10mph.
Over the course of an hour, cops followed the tow truck all over town, including a 5mph drive down the interstate.
The driver, who was at one point on the phone with dispatchers, was saying that there was a bomb on the truck that would explode if he stopped, which is exactly like a scene from the 1994 movie ‘Speed’, with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
After using spike strips to take out the front tires, cops fired pepper balls into the truck. That’s when the driver got out of the truck with his hands up.
Cops said they found no bomb inside the truck. The dumbass is facing charges of vehicular theft.
