It’s hard for me to fathom how much the little game changed my life to what it is today.

When I was starting my whole video game tattoo sleeve, the one piece that I told Juno that had to be the biggest….was my Zelda tattoo of Ocarina of Time, it means the most to me.

Crazy to think that my favorite video game of all time is now 23 years old.

It’s the game I own the most and nearly all of the versions. N64 grey cart (my original), Gamecube Collectors Disc, Gamecube Master Quest Disc, 3DS Remaster, and now Switch ‘streamable’ version…which yes, I am playing through again. Only version I do not own? An original GOLD CART…and some day, I hope to stumble upon one. Many consider Ocarina of Time the greatest game of ALL time! Personally I think it’s ONE of the greatest games of all time, but maybe not the greatest….and honestly, I don’t know what game is.

Some games have challenged my love of this game like Breath of the Wild or Resident Evil 2, but with OoT? I can come back to it time and time again and feel the fun experience of it all. Anytime I pop on this game, I zap straight back to 1998…when I was kid getting ready to be a teenager, which if you know this games story? Falls RIGHT in line with that.

Is it a perfect game? No…is it a dated looking game? Absolutely…arethere better games? 100%…but no other game has had an impact like this one did, and seemingly 23 years later still impacts me.
