So, what’s your excuse?
We all don’t want to do everything right? A friend calls up, says ‘Come on out man!’ and you just ain’t feeling it, but you also don’t want to be THAT guy right? So you tell a little lie, or you know…tell the truth.
But again, you don’t WANT to be the buzzkill! So how do you get out of stuff? In a new survey, the most commonly used things we say are:
- It’s too cold (applies to Iowans only)
- I forgot (No…no you didn’t)
- I’ll start tomorrow (the usual thing when you try to workout)
- I didn’t sleep well last night (that’s everyday)
- I’m trying to save money (aren’t we all?)
- I just can’t be bothered (Seriously, you’re bothered everyday)
- I’ve got a lot of work to do (Probably truth 75% of the time)
- I’ve got a headache (this one is common)
- I’ve made other plans (No you didn’t…don’t lie)
I know for a fact, I have said each one of these, and don’t lie…you have too.
