Growing up in the 90’s, there were very few fun things to watch at home when you were sick at home from school.
Talks show was the only thing really on…cause TV at the time was only catered to ‘stay at home moms’ (which is shrinking more and more everyday). This was a time before 24 hour kid networks…cartoons were for AFTER school. Otherwise, my mom was watch Judge Joe Wapner. But one talk show always kept me laughing even at a young age, Maury Povich, and after 31 years…Maury is retiring!
Maury has been in the game long enough to become a meme of paternity test…you know, YOU ARE THE FATHER or YOU ARE NOT THE FATHER!
It’s an end of an era, cause as far as I know? That kind of talk show has gone the way of the Dodo. Sure there are shows like The View or Ellen, but they aren’t the same style.
Thanks Maury, for being that TV I’d watch at home when I’d skip…errr…be sick from school.
