Looking forward this year to my annual excursion to the big rock festival!
You know at this point, I travel to somewhere outside of Iowa to enjoy a big rock festival, attempt to interview bands, see music, share it on social media for you to enjoy. Once again this year, I will be heading to Upheaval Festival in Grand Rapids, MI…my hometown.
Bands like Disturbed, Mudvayne, Theory of a Deadman, Avatar, Three Days Grace, and SO MANY MORE will be performing at the show! But….this year, I’m making a sidestep the day before that I did not expect to do.
The DAY BEFORE the big rock fests, Distant Worlds: The Music of Final Fantasy is being performed at the DeVos Performance hall with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. I….effing….love….Final Fantasy music which is composed by the great Nobuo Uematsu!
WHAT PERFECT TIMING! Leave early on July 14th to make the symphony show, then 2 days of rock festival, drive back to Iowa.
Ahhh….feels good to live music again.
