(According to WorldWildlife.org, there are 3,900 tigers in the wild and 5,000 as exotic pets.)

Jason’s guess pushed me down a rabbit hole. I wanted to know if you can even have a flamingo as a pet. The short answer is “NO.”
You have to have permission and a special license to have a flamingo. They are also expensive to procure. I will stick to the plastic kind…

DAILY DUMBASS–  Three people tried to steal an ATM in Oregon. Police responded to an alarm and found a truck hooked up to the ATM by chain. The truck pulled the ATM off its foundation, but then had to back up. At that point the truck ran over the ATM and was stuck. The suspects fled the scene, but were caught on security cameras throughout the area.  MORE DETAILS

SPORTS Tiger Woods says he plans to play in this week’s Masters. He will play 9 holes today to make sure he feels okay ahead of the opening round on Thursday.

A group of scientists in partnership with NASA plans to beam a radio message into outer space. The “Beacon In The Galaxy” is meant to be a basic introduction to math, chemistry and biology. It also shows figures of a man and woman fully naked with their hands raised in a wave. So we are pre-emptive in a response that says, “Send nudes.”
