32 years ago, an album released that took your brain, smashed it against the wall, reinserted it, and proceeded to head bang like a mad man.
Cowboys from Hell is a fantastic album, not my favorite, but you could tell the were on to something. Getting rid of those 80’s hair roots, tuning down the guitars, and experimenting in a groove metal sound with Cowboys From Hell, Domination, Primal Concrete Sledge….it was the album that had to happen in order for them to release that nearly perfect follow up ‘Vulger Display of Power.’
