If you were lucky enough to go to college, you probably have some insane stories.
I attended Eastern Michigan University from 2007-2010, graduated with my bachelors in Electronic Media. I was a very good student, I got to all my courses, rarely if EVER skipped, etc. While I was a good student? I partied my ass off….I likely have many stories, but this one is still a classic.
I lived in the dorms my first year, and I was a ‘sophunior’ as I took some CC courses before then, so I wasn’t a freshman. One night of drunkeness and partying at the Rowing Crew house, my friends and I stumbled back to our lofts, however, down the hall….a storm was brewing.
My soon to be friend John and his roommate Ben also got back from drunk night out, and for some reason? John LOVED to take a shower in when he was wasted, it’s just what he did. Ben sat on his futon, watched TV or whatever, and these showers by the way were grungy single stall showers. Now, John was a bigger dude, and at some point during his shower, John sat down on the shower floor and passed out….what he didn’t realize was, his ass plugged the shower drain, so what happened next?
WATER FLOODED THE DORM ROOM! Ben noticed this quickly, jumped up, and started pounding on the door yelling ‘JOHN! WAKE UP YOU’RE FLOODING THE DORM!’
In a near exhausted whisper John replies, ‘Just 5 more minutes man.’
Ben eventually jostles the lock, turns off the shower, and hauls John’s naked ass into his loft! Ben runs down to our dorm and says ‘Dudes can you help me clean this up?’ That’s when I saw the hilarious ocean of a dorm room, a ruined Beerfest DVD, and John’s naked ass laughing in his loft.
That night I met one of my favorite people, and that was John….we eventually became roommates ourselves.
He never flooded our dorm though, he knew better.
