What a bummer right?
The big news last week was that Blink-182 was reuniting with original member Tom DeLonge and they were gonna go on tour on an arena scale! Just for some perspective, Blink was supposed to be in Cedar Rapids, but ended up cancelling the tour due to drummer Travis Barkers health…all fine and good….but Blink with Tom back in it is seemingly a WHOLE ‘nother thing.
Here’s the issue though, tickets for these shows are OUT….OF….THIS….WORLD….expensive….for Blink-182. Last week was the presale, and ticket prices were topping off at $1000 for GA Pit….$1000!!!…FOR BLINK-182! C’mon man…..then today, it went on sale for everybody, and in less than an hour, those pesky bots jumped in quick, bought them regardless of price and are charging insane prices for seats.
What….the….hell man….just take a look at Chicago’s United Center, see all that pink? Those are VERIFIED RESELL SEATS….meaning bots bought them and are immediately reselling them to turn a profit.

It sucks man….sucks hard….worse yet, you are required to buy 2 tickets in those resell situations. I must also point out there are indeed regular seats, but the only thing left is stuff BESIDE THE STAGE at $345 per ticket.
To give you some perspective? I bought Rammstein tickets for Soldier field, kinda high up there, for $52….but it was Rammstein and their massive show they bring. This has nothing to do with ‘Well, it’s Blink-182 Ned!’ No….it’s concert, regardless of who it is.
The super crappy part, is how do you fix this? I don’t have that answer, but I feel like something has to be done. When I saw Iron Maiden years ago, you HAD TO HAVE the credit card you paid with in order to get into the show. You bought the tickets online sure, but when you got to the show, they swiped your card for verification and boom….you were in the show.
What does Ticketmaster care though? They got their money, their fees….they could really give a shit who attends the show.
I mean, if you are a SUPER Blink fan? Go for it….but I think this is just a highlight of what is wrong with ticket buying today.
